Some Fixed Point Theorems
Introduction. We wish to summarize here some new asymptotic fixed point theorems. By an asymptotic fixed point theorem we mean roughly a theorem in functional analysis in which the existence of fixed points of a map ƒ is proved with the aid of assumptions on the iterates f of ƒ. Such theorems have proved of use in the theory of ordinary and functional differential equations (see [7], [8], [9] a...

state conditions under which there exist solutions to x = f(x) for the singlevalued function f or to Y E F(y ) for the set-valued mapping F. The prototype of the former is the contraction mapping theorem, while that of the latter is the Kakutani fixed point theorem. These results, as well as generalizations, applications, and other references, are surveyed in [ 14 ]. A representative sample of ...
متن کاملBerge equilibrium: some recent results from fixed-point theorems
The notion of Berge equilibrium is a generalization of Nash equilibrium, which has its theoretical basis in fixed point theorems. We point out parallel but novel results for the Berge theory and also show many illustrative examples. Some relation to the prisoners' dilemma is shown as well. The results here generalize those of Radjef and the authors. © 2004 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
متن کاملSome Results of Fixed Point Theorems in Convex Metric Spaces
In this paper we study some fixed point theorems for self-mappings satisfying certain contraction principles on a convex complete metric space. In addition, we also improve and extend some very recently results in [9].
متن کاملSome new asymptotic fixed point theorems.
For a continuous self mapping f of a locally convex topological vector space which is locally compact (i.e., f maps a neighborhood of each point into a relatively compact set), it is shown that a sufficient condition for the existence of a fixed point is the existence of a compact attractor K(0) such that each orbit under f has a point of K(0) in its closure. The proof is based upon the circle ...
